Here’s a schedule of therapeutic Post Adoption Support Groups and non-therapeutic workshops run by the clinicians at BPAR.

Summer Workshop for Kids Age 9-12: “My Story My Way” Module 3

Module 3: Fantasy
After participating in icebreaker games and mindfulness exercises, participants will engage in a discussion about the phenomenon of fantasy within the adoptee. Normalizing the romanticization or demonization of personal stories will be explored. Through mixed media sculpture, participants will engage in the construction of a character which they feel embodies them … parts that are real and parts that are fantasy.

Note: This is Module 3 of 4 in the "My Story My Way" series for adoptees age 9-12 offered by BPAR this summer. Group leader Caitlin Woodstock will lead the workshops, each lasting 3 hours from 11am-2pm on Mondays: July 9, July 23, August 6 and August 21. Participants my attend any or all of the workshops. Fee is $75 per workshop or $250 for all four workshops. We accept cash, check, and credit card. Payment is due at time of group. RSVP is required.
